# Debt ceiling

The Borrowing Cap establishes a maximum threshold for the quantity of tokens that can be borrowed under a particular mode from the lending pool. This cap serves to confine and segregate the exposure of lenders to risk, particularly in scenarios where a token's value diverges from its associated assets.
